Infinity Dreams Award

I have been nominated by the ever lovely Grace for the Infinity Dreams Award! The rules are as follows

Thank the blog that nominated you.

Done so but it never hurts to do it again! Thank you Grace!

Tell us 11 things about yourself.

Well, I can try.

1.I am a nerd, definitely.

2. My favorite TV show is without a doubt Doctor Who, which contributes to my nerdiness.

3. My favorite author is John Green, and my favorite novel is The Fault In Our Stars. I happened to read the novel before it got too popular.

4. I’m not a big believer in social media. I mean, I’ve had a Facebook and a Twitter before, but I don’t really see the point in it.

5. I’ve never been in an airplane nor a boat, the only vehicles I’ve ridden are on the road.

6. When I’m bored on the internet, I use a weird website called

7. My favorite instrument to play is a guitar, which I play almost religiously. I play it every day and I’m always trying to write songs (with very little luck haha)

8. I find myself constantly addicted to songs. Recently, per Grace’s request, my song addiction is “Barely Breathing” by Duncan Sheik.

I even brought it upon myself to learn the chords and next I’ll learn the tabs.

9. My mom works at Legoland, so every year we get 20 free tickets, which is only about 2 trips for my family. My family and I, all 10 of us, are going this weekend for only about $20 (for parking).

10. My favorite color is this bright blue, so bright it almost appears purple.

Almost blue violet, but not quite

11. My favorite confectionery candy are soda pop tablets. They come in these little soda cans and when you put them in your mouth they actually fizz. It’s a weird feeling at first, and even at first I didn’t like them, but they kinda grew on me. They come in 4 flavors (I’m sure there’s more but I haven’t seen them), Sprite, Grape, Cola, and Orange.

Answer the questions that were set for you to answer.

What is your least favorite saying?

“No offense” I don’t like how someone can insult you right in front of your face and say “no offense” and all is forgiven. I do not want to keep ranting, so that’s all I’ll say on that.

What is your favorite holiday and why?

My favorite holiday is my birthday. It occurs on 11/11 and I share it with my mother. I also love how I get to honor those who fight to protect our freedom on my birthday. It’s like three holidays in one.

Where do you gain inspiration the most?

I mainly find inspiration through music, most definitely. I’m kind of a music addict, so it’s understandable my inspiration comes from there.

How long have you been blogging, and what got you to blog in the first place?

I’ve only been blogging a month, and I found it the best way to find friends since I am home schooled. It succeeded, thank you everyone!

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Probably the U.K. I love their culture and lifestyles. Or maybe Australia. Apart from the creepy crawlers that are everywhere. I would love to see Sydney and the people there.

Thanks again for the nomination and friendships. And as my little sister likes to say:

Goodbye, butterfly!

You pt.1

Your name is Alex Bradley.

You lived an average life, with all the luxury you could afford, which honestly was not a lot.

Your significant other of 8 months broke up with you after an incident that should never have been blamed on you. They knew what they were doing, and they knew it would be you.

You, you ask. Why did you let yourself be dragged into the biggest bank robbery since 1954? They told you they were going to the store across the street, and asked you to wait for them in the parking lot. They grabbed the money, stored it in the car, and told you and your friend to drive. Then, they went to the police saying you stole it. Now your life is on the line, and your friend’s as well.

You arrive at a rest area 100 miles away, after closely getting away from the police. You sigh, relieved to be out of the sirens target momentarily. Your friend decides to speak. “Alex,” he says. “How much money is back there?”

“I don’t know, Ashton, I didn’t even know it was a robbery until the police were on our tail.” you reply.

“Well, then what do we do, Alex? We can’t go home, and we can’t leave the money lying around.”

“If we stay here-”

“We’ll be caught for sure, but the police expect us to keep moving.”

What would you do?

What to do?

Hello, everybody!

I’m not quite sure what I want to do with this blog. I’m thinking of following a second person story, with you guys choosing what happens next, but I want some suggestions so I can have more options! Anything goes!

I will change the look to follow whatever you guys choose.

Thank you all!

Well this seems a bit undermined,

The pieces all seem intertwined.

Just know that this wasn’t meant to happen.

These were not my intentions

I still remember the sound of angels

When the door opened for a cradle

And without giving a second thought

We flew during those months

The smell of freshly cut grass

And the hope that this lasts

The dreams that made it so far

Into the deepest part of our hearts.

The touch of the soft willed flowers

That wilted after just a few hours

After this found it’s way

To create the most nostalgic day

The taste of the cooking

That was very confusing

I didn’t know what to make of it

Or what to make with it

I remember each one of these

They come and go as they please

My emotions seem to be outnumbered

By the memories that slumber

If only the past could be rearranged

I don’t ever want to see it changed

I could be in the past right now

And make sure you never go

You walk into the store, hoping to buy some food to sustain yourself on the journey you’ve put yourself into. You find some granola bars and energy drinks. You bring the items to the front counter, where a woman wearing a uniform way too big for her tiny body is reading a magazine. She sits up as you approach and rings you up.

But as she’s doing so, you notice your picture on the wall. You’ve cut and dyed your hair since then, in hopes to change your appearance. You hope she doesn’t recognize you. For if she does, you know you’ll be put through hell because of a misunderstanding.  Luckily she pays no attention and gives you your final bill. You pay and walk out.

Once outside, you search the parking lot for the stolen vehicle you took yesterday. You wonder around until you see it pull up into the parking lot. “I thought I told you to stay here!” you remark.

“Sorry I got so nervous I had to take a drive.” your friend and now partner in crime Ashton replied. When he looks at the angry face you give him, he smiles. “Just get in, Alex.” he pleaded. “I didn’t get caught.”

“Yeah, but we might be followed now.” You reply as you enter the SUV. You know that your friend was reckless, sometimes to the near point of death. That was one of the qualities you liked in him. That he was willing to try anything at least once. You bet he never expected this though.

Ashton drove off, down a long road that leads to the highway. You hope and pray he didn’t screw up and cause you and he to get caught. I am never going to forgive them, you thought. If they can make up a story and make anyone believe it, then I can do things no one sees coming. They ruined my life, and now, they’ll pay for it.

Hour of Code

Last night I got to be involved in one of the best introductory lessons into code. I had the wonderful opportunity to be a moderator and helped others when they had questions. It was so inspiring seeing so many people interested in coding. It really is a second language, and it is so much fun! Getting involved in code means you are getting involved with making apps, web pages, computer programs, and video game designing. But that’s not all. By 2020, there will be a shortage of over 1,000,000 people to fill in technology jobs. Learning code means you can get involved in one of the fastest growing career fields. Sounds awesome, right?

Hour of Code is happening again today at 1 pm. I will be there to help people with any questions. Also, today I will be speaking about the Science/ STEM club, and the many opportunities it offers.

If you are unable to attend Hour of Code, there are many websites that are there to help you learn!

  • this website can help you learn many different types of coding, including HTML, Java, and Ruby. The offer fun interactive lessons that make the information stick in your brain! (This is the website I’m using. I’m learning Ruby.)
  • This website is specific to Java, and is willing to teach you the basics in many fun videos and tutorials. This website also offers a developer, where you can make your own programs using Java.
  • This website is the host of Hour of Code and has plenty of tutorials to help you make programs that include familiar movies or games, like Frozen and Star Wars.

A bit about me

Hello to all those listening:

I feel obligated to tell you about some of the things I enjoy, because why would you follow someone who doesn’t have opinions?  Here’s a few of my favorite things.

My favorite:

T.V. Show- Doctor Who, Supernatural, and anime. (There’s a lot of anime, so I’m not going into specific shows *ahem* SAO)
Hobbies- Playing Guitar (a big one), writing, listening to music, hanging with my family, Netflix
Holiday- contrary to popular belief, I enjoy my birthday more than Christmas. This is most likely because my mother and I share a birthday, and the fact I can honor veterans at the same time.
Number- 11, I find it lucky
Subject in school- Music
Obsessions- Music, bands, etc.
Bands- 5SOS, P!ATD, SWS, PTV, BVB, FOB, Yellowcard, Green Day, blink-182, etc.
Video Game- Legend of Zelda, most probably
Color- A blue violet, bright blue violet

It’s been a while since I’ve told someone about me, so if I’m forgetting something, please ask! Also, I’m open for suggestions on pretty much anything, so feel free to suggest anything.

I can confidently say I’m a nerd!

Happy Holidays!
