Oh dear,

I’ve forgotten.

I didn’t see this coming a few months back.

I never would’ve thought

That something I was so determined about

Would escape my mind,

To be lost in a frenzy of despair and disaster.

Things have been tough,

With me being the only one to stand against a tsunami.

I didn’t understand,

That everything was lost in the waves

I find myself recovering from.
